Monica Monconduit is a junior, Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Texas at Tyler. She is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and participates in 5K’s and obstacle course runs, cooking and family time. Madam Chair would like membership know that she will always put them first, they can trust that she will be as direct as allowed and that she is excited for the coming year for herself and the region.

Habeeb Shittu is a senior, Civil and Construction Engineering Major from Lewisville, TX and he is a student at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX. This is his second year serving on the board. Mr. Shittu enjoys learning and having conversations while playing soccer and is also a DJ in his spare time. He has a business mentality that always motivates him to keep moving and thinking on his next move. Mr. Shittu is extremely excited to meet the membership and if you spark a conversation about sports, the conversation will keep on rolling.

Maya Hunter is a senior, Chemical Engineering major at Prairie View A&M University from Houston, Texas. This is her second year on our board. She is also a community assistant for freshman housing at her school and a proud and active member in her school’s Student Government Association. Miss. Hunter would like membership to know that sheloves interacting with people, has a deep love for NSBE and enjoys traveling and trying new foods and things

Zach Reece is a senior, Industrial Engineering major at Texas A&M University from Houston, TX. With Mr. Reece being our treasurer, he wants membership to know that he is good with money, can ride motorcycles and loves to travel but there is no place like H-TOWN.

Kayla Nash is a senior, Supply Chain Logistics Technology major at the University of Houston which is located in her hometown, Houston, TX. Miss. Nash is the former president of UH NSBE, a member of The Collegiate 100, a PROMSE Ambassador (Program for Mastery in Engineering Studies and apart of the UH Scholar Enrichment Program (SEP). She wants membership to know that she is a technology major with a passion for NSBE and a true lover of pancakes and trying new things.

Marilyn Smith is a senior, Chemical Engineering and the University of Oklahoma as well as being from Houston, TX. She is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., a President's Community Scholar and apart of the Black Students Association. Miss. Smith would like membership to know that she is an Aquarius Sun, Capricorn Moon and Cancer Rising, a great listener and that quality time is her love language.

Nosakhare J. Eke is a proud Nigerian and his hometown is Kansas City, Missouri. He loves sports, music, food and NSBE. His favorite sports teams are the Mizzou (all sports), Kansas City Chiefs, Royals, & the LA Lakers. He is also a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Zeta Alpha Chapter. And lastly, he is a proud to say that he is a Kauffman Scholar.

Jaylin McMillan is a senior, Electrical and Computer Engineering major at Texas State University and he is also from Houston, TX. Alongside being a past chapter president for the Texas State NSBE Chapter, he is a member of Black Men United, the Hip Hop Congress and a Virtual Reality Development Group. He would like membership to know that he loves music, encourages innovation and is a certified dream-chaser.

Darren Butler is a sophomore, Computer Science major at Midwestern State University and he represents for his home, Nassau, Bahamas. He is a member of the Students of LinkedIn and Bahames Engineering and Technology Advancement Center for the Multicultural Affairs and Community at Midwestern State. Mr. Butler would like membership to know that he has a passion for using technology for economic development, he loves creating educational content for students and his headphones are his life.

R’riel Smith is a senior, Industrial & Systems Engineering major from Houston, TX and says “Howdy!” from the one and only, Texas A&M University. In her free time, she is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the Matthew Gaines Initiative. Miss. Smith enjoys watching YouTube videos and studying natural oils for her hair and skin. She is extremely excited for the upcoming term!

Ashley Idehen is a senior, Chemical Engineering student at Texas Tech University and she represents for her hometown of Chicago, Illinois. She is involved in the African Student Organization and a Protege Advisory Committee (PAC) Leader for Mentor Tech. Miss. Idehen would like membership to know that she loves jazz music, has been apart of NSBE for 3 years and is excited to serve on this board.

Andrew Whitehead is a senior, computer engineering major at Iowa State University from Matteson, Illinois. He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc, The National Pan-Hellenic Council, Multicultural Student Leadership Council, and the Black Student Alliance. Mr. Whitehead has a dream of starting his own business for black entrepreneurs and is a pretty competitive person but it is all love in the end.

Modupeoluwa Oni is a senior, Chemical Engineering major at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and is a native at Lagos, Nigeria. He is the SGA President of the College of Engineering and also a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Mr. Oni would like membership to know that he is an outgoing person who loves cooking and playing soccer.

Cherrianne Davis is a senior, Mechanical Engineering major at the University of Arkansas. She is a native of Kingstown, St. Vincent and the Grenadines. She is also apart of the Caribbean Students Association (CSA), the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) and International Students and Scholars (ISS). Miss. Davis would like membership to know that she loves sitcoms (Brooklyn 99!) and believes that “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” (Nelson Mandela).

Danae Nash is a senior, Information Technology major from St. Louis, Missouri and attends The University of Missouri. This is her second year serving on our REB, while also serving as Chapter President for MizzouNSBE. She is an ambassador for the College of Engineering as well as serving on the PR Team for her church, Urban Empowerment. Miss. Nash values good and genuine energy while always exhibiting leadership with good intent. Far from shy, she is someone that you will all get to know in due time.

Konnie Wells is a senior, Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Missouri - Kansas City which is also her hometown, Kansas City, Missouri. She participates in the School of Computing and Engineering Student Council, is the vice president of the NSBE - UMKC Chapter and enjoys playing video games and hanging out with friends and family. She would like membership know she is open to all innovative ideas, will assist in providing resources for chapters and looks very serious but loves to joke around.

Daniel Doyle is a senior, Civil Engineering major with a minor in Business Administration at Prairie View A&M University. He represents the one and only, Houston, TX. Mr. Doyle is primarily involved in NSBE, both at the Regional and Chapter level; however, he has been heavily involved with the Student Government Association as well as the Orchestra at Prairie View. He would like membership to know that he is a big advocate for the membership, they are what motives him to strive for his best and he is always ope to offer mentorship.

Alongside being apart of NSBE, she participates in Tutor for Tutor Doctor. Miss. Barryer would like membership to know that she is a Beyonce fanatic, loves sneakers and is in love with Wingstop.

Erron Williams is a junior, Chemical Engineering major at the University of Houston and he is also from Houston, TX. He is a PROMES Scholar, participates in Intramural football and basketball every year for both NSBE and Campus Outreach and can be found volunteering with his family during breaks. Mr. Williams would like membership to know that he is proud of his Jamaican heritage, a basketball fanatic and his favorite thing about NSBE is the family environment it creates on all levels.

Alexis Leonard is a senior, Biomedical Engineering major at the University of Missouri - Columbia and represents her hometown, Chicago, IL. She is apart of the Target H.O.P.E. chapter on campus and Mizzou’s Homecoming Committee. Miss. Leonard would like membership to know that she wants to take away as much as she gives to NSBE with her board and you as well. She loves to cook, eat, shop and laugh. Also, Martin is her favorite show and also the best 90’s show in her opinion.

Amiah Gooding is a senior, Electrical Engineering at the Iowa State University and her hometown is Davenport, Iowa. Miss. Gooding is also apart of Leadership through Engineering and Academic Adversity. She would like membership to know that she has one sibling, she loves to laugh and also has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do.

Onyinychi Igwe is a second-year member on our board as well as a graduate of The University of Oklahoma. Miss. Igwe is a native of Abuja Nigeria and is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She is also a member of The Society of Plastic Engineers and the Rotaract Club. Miss. Igwe loves scary movies and also speaks two languages.

Ester Brown is a junior, Electrical Engineering major from Opelousas, LA and currently attends The University of Louisiana. Miss. Brown was born and raised in the great state of Louisiana and enjoys outdoor activities, learning new crafts and skills and socializing. She has been an active member in NSBE for five years and this is her second year on the executive board.
